According to the National Association of Health Underwriters, the Obama Administration has recently extended transitional relief for groups still using “Grandmothered Plans.” The previous expiration deadline for all plans not meeting ACA requirements but still being renewed under transitional relief was October 7th, 2017, however with this latest extension, groups may renew these plans as long as they are set to expire no later than December 31st, 2017, giving them at least an additional 2 months to utilize their current program. Both state insurance regulators and health insurance carriers must still decide if they will allow for the extension of these plans. Find NAHU’s full article here:
